Banner Year for Department Research Funding

Faculty of the department have enjoyed an extremely successful year winning research funding.

Four members of the department - Nemata BlydenDenver BrunsmenDiane Cline and Benjamin Hopkins - were awarded University Facilitating Funds to pursue research on current projects.

Tyler Anbinder was named a Dean's Research Chair, a three-year appointment supported by the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.

Benjamin Hopkins and Marcy Norton participated in NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes. Professor Hopkins joined the Bridging National Borders in North America seminar in Chicago, while Professor Norton attended the Pictural Histories and Myth-Histories: "Graphic Novels" of the Mixtecs and Aztecsinstitute in Mexico. 

Denver Brunsmen was awarded a summer stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as well as a fellowship at at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon.
