The William H. Becker Economic History Prize

Becker 3
The History Department of George Washington University and the Becker family are collaborating to establish an Academic Prize in history in honor of William H. Becker. Professor Becker was a beloved member of the History Department's faculty for close to 40 years. He advised countless graduate students in history and business and considered this mentorship as one of his most important roles as a scholar. The William H. Becker Economic History Prize seeks to honor a graduate or undergraduate student for excellent work in economic history each year with a monetary gift towards research and further study.

We are excited to announce that Donald Becker, brother of William, has agreed to match up to $7,500 to help us reach our goal of $25,000 to endow the prize. To make a contribution, please use the link below.
