The International Graduate Student Conference on the Cold War rotates each year between GW, UC Santa Barbara, and the London School of Economics. In 2013 the conference was at George Washington University. Charles Kraus, an Ed McCord PhD student, was awarded the Saki Ruth Dockrill Memorial Prize for best paper at the conference.
