Spencer L. French is a Ph.D. student studying American History, concentrating on intelligence in the early Cold War. Spencer currently serves as an active duty U.S. Army Major and General Andrew J. Goodpaster Scholar (School of Advanced Military Studies). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Master of Arts in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He writes and publishes on issues related to historical and current strategy, military innovation, and force design.
