Robin Pokorski is a historian of late medieval Europe who studies the intersections between religion, gender, and urban life. She earned her PhD in 2022 from Northwestern University. Her dissertation, "Reform Networks and Community among Dominican Nuns in Late Medieval Germany," explored how Dominican nuns during the Observant Reform leveraged their overlapping communities in support of or in opposition to the reform movement. This research was supported by a 2018–19 Fulbright Fellowship in Germany. Dr. Pokorski's related interests include the histories of female friendship, saints' relics, and medieval parishes. She is especially enthusiastic about introducing students to the Middle Ages in the classroom. At GW, Dr. Pokorski is an Educational Developer in the Center for Teaching Excellence.
