Adam Howard is the Executive Director of the International Churchill Society (ICS) and a leading expert in international relations history, with a particular focus on U.S. foreign policy and the Arab-Israeli dispute. He is the author of Sewing the Fabric of Statehood: Garment Unions, American Labor, and the Establishment of the State of Israel, which explores the significant influence of the American labor movement in shaping the early years of the Israeli state.

As Executive Director of the ICS, he leads the Society’s mission to preserve and promote the legacy of Winston Churchill through education, scholarship, and public engagement.

Previously, Dr. Howard served as the chief historian at the U.S. Department of State and Director of the Office of the Historian, where he oversaw the publication of the Foreign Relations of the United States series and prepared policy-relevant historical studies for senior officials across the U.S. government.

Dr. Howard’s teaching emphasizes the practical application of history and explores the complex connections between history, diplomacy, and international affairs.
