Qingfei Yin
Qingfei Yin is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History of George Washington University, expecting to graduate in May 2018. She specializes in modern Chinese history and modern Southeast Asian history, with thematic expertise in 20th Century international history. She received a B.A. in International Relations and History (Double Major) from Peking University, and Master degrees in International Affairs from Peking University and London School of Economics. She is currently writing her dissertation titled “Confronting the Communist State: The Chinese-Vietnamese Land-Maritime Border during the Cold War, 1949-1979,” making use of archival sources in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. She has received the Henry Luce Foundation/ ACLS Program in China Studies Pre-dissertation Summer Travel Grant and the Association for Asian Studies China and Inner Asia Council Small Grant, and CCAS Dean's Dissertation Completion Fellowship.
