Shaadi Khoury
Shaadi Khoury is pursuing a Ph.D. in History of the Modern Middle East. His research focuses on intellectual history, particularly of the Nahda, or the Arab Renaissance of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He graduated from Columbia University as an English major in 2002 and from The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London with a Master's in Middle East Studies in 2005. He taught history for one year at The Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut, and Business English classes in Spain and the Czech Republic.
