Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society

Phi Alpha Theta, Phi Chi, is GW’s chapter of the National History Honor Society. The group brings together students, teachers and writers to promote learning and research. The GW chapter frequently organizes historical research trips and attends conferences to help students present their papers across the country.

Conferences

In recent years, students have travelled to Arlington, Virginia and San Antonio, Texas for national conferences and attended regional conferences in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. Visit the Meetings page for more information on upcoming regional and national events.

Charles Thomas Long Award

The Charles Thomas Long Award is given to a graduating senior in Phi Alpha Theta who is not on the Executive Board and shows outstanding commitment to the organization.
